OOTD: Modern Classic

 Jacket: River Island
Top: Zara
Jeans: Vintage
Bag: Peacocks
Rings: H&M and Topshop
Necklaces: eBay and Topshop
Sunglasses: eBay
Nails: Yo-ga To Get This Blue by OPI
Lips: Black Cherry by NYX
Shoes: Reebok Classics

Hi guys,

I felt like an urban Marie Antoinette today. It's the hair, you know? Once again, I had stepped into fashion a time warp and donned the sneakers, the jeans, the choker and the retro glasses. I love fashion from different eras; my Mum may laugh at my choice of trousers but at least I can appreciate what came before me!

I used to be a massive fan of jewellery and I think I am beginning to like it a lot again. I love layering pieces now - you can never wear too many necklaces or earrings. I also really love the jacket / blazer piece that I got from River Island. It's defo going to be one of my most versatile clothing pieces for the future because not only is it a neutral colour and incredibly comfy, it's quite light so I can wear it in autumn and spring.

Products I'm Loving!

1. Raspberry & Blackberry hand lotion by I love...

Guess what, guys? I loooove this hand lotion. I got it as a Christmas present last year, which was super handy as obviously we get drier skin in winter and this little baby works wonders to keep hands and fingers smooth and moisturised. But honestly, the smell is what makes this product amazing. The odour isn't artificial or sickening at all - it legit smells like berries! I say that with a shocked face but it's incredible how these magical skincare specialists can get it oh so right. I think it retails at £2.99 so it's very cheap. It's quite a large bottle too so it'll last you a long time.

2. MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Base Lumiere

This is a slightly more expensive product that I have been loving this summer! This serum works as a really good primer, so it controls oil and makes the application of foundation a lot nicer. It also has a lot of natural ingredients such as Vitamin E and Vitamin C, plus caffeine to calm the skin. I used this before I went to Lovebox and it kept my make-up perfect throughout the day, which was exactly what I needed as it was almost impossible to reapply or fix up my make-up during the hot daylight hours. Honestly guys, it gives you the most amazing glow ever! A winner for sure.

3. Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener

My nails have just started to grow really long but because they are quite flimsy I always find myself reaching for the clippers, much to my dismay. However, I started using this hardener and it is one of the best I've tried. It prevents chipping or breaking of the nails and although I usually apply it every few days, it really does do what it's meant to.

4. Collection 2000 Big Fake Ultimate false lash effect mascara

I tell everyone that I am most definitely not a make-up snob and one of the reasons why is because you can find a great many products that are very inexpensive and work just as well, if not better, than some high-end products. This mascara just proves my point. It was £4.99, has a great, fat brush and keeps my lashes looking phenomenal all day long. Unfortunately I picked up the brown / black version by accident but I was lucky because it's not noticeable at all and it might as well be black, haha. If you don't like huge, fake-looking lashes then this mascara may not be for you (it can be quite a messy business applying it!) but I personally love the doll-eyed look and was so chuffed that I paid so little for a fantastic mascara.

What are some of your favourite products at the moment?

OOTD: Not Your Average

Top: Zara
Maxi skirt: M&S
Necklace: eBay
Bracelet: River Island
Shoes: Reebok Classics
Lips: Ruby Woo by MAC

Welcome back,

I decided to opt for black and white once again. I love the classic combination of these two colours and the pop of red on the lips seems to be becoming my signature style, haha. At the moment I am also loving layering necklaces and wearing lots of earrings and jewellery in general. A girl can never have too much jewellery!

Got some fresh new creps, too! I really wanted a pair of white trainers that were NOT Nike Air Forces because everybody and their mother - and cat - own them. Pairing them with a maxi skirt is a very urban twist on femininity but I love mixing the two styles and it creates much more interesting dynamics.

OOTD: Summertime Sadness

Dress: H&M
Bag: Primark
Shoes: eBay
Choker: eBay
Pendant necklace: eBay
Chain: Pia
Lips: Black Cherry by NYX

Hello,

Honestly, I think England has decided to mimic India for the summer. It's hot, humid and monsoons are in abundance. The thunderstorms are scaring the living daylights of everybody. And yes, I did decide to wear a white dress today because #YOLO. Ok, I wasn't thinking that when I was teetering down a country lane in what seemed to be some sort of heavenly flood, but whatever.

I love this look. It's simple, crisp, clean and a touch gothic. I really dislike having an 100% girly outfit - there needs to be some sort of balance between the good and the bad (and the ugly) (just kidding)

But seriously, I think I managed to get away with this look for the summer because the white dress and curly hair give off a carefree vibe, which is what summer is all about I suppose. I hope you guys are enjoying July!

OOTD: Lovebox (19th of July 2014)

Dungarees: Lee (vintage from Rokit)
Bandeau: New Look
Headband: Camden Flowers
Pouch: Lifeventure
Socks: Primark
Shoes: Converse
Bracelets: Primark
Lips: Topshop Lip Bullet in Inhibition

Hi guys,

This was supposed to be posted much earlier but unfortunately I have been kicked out of my house (don't panic! We're renovating the bottom floor) but yes, the builders are calling all the shots. Anyway, the point of this ramble is that I don't have a computer with internet.

Lovebox was amazing; saw the likes of Bondax, Nas and M.I.A, got a little bit drunk and had a great time checking out all the festival attire. The sun was beaming down onto Victoria Park so naturally everybody had a field day when it came to clothing. These dungarees I picked up for less than £20 and I am so pleased because I haven't found a piece of clothing that I love or would want to wear more. They're so comfy and versatile - pick up a pair and your life will be changed! Pairing this with a simple bandeau, comfy Converse, a flowery headband and a darker lipstick, I felt pretty much ready for the weekend.

How's the weather where you live?

OOTD: Oxford Street

Top: Primark (Men's)
Leggings: Primark
Shirt: Beyond Retro
Shoes: New Look
Earrings: New Look
Sunglasses: eBay
Clutch: Boohoo.com
Lip colour: Topshop Lip Bullet in Inhibition

Hello guys,

Wow, the weather has suddenly taken a turn for the better! Which begs the question: why on earth did I wear pleather leggings on the hottest day of the year so far? Answer: dunno.

I'm loving the whole shirt-tied-around-waist look. There's something very effortless about it. It's says 'look at me, I'm too cool to wear the shirt so I'm bringing back a school-too-hot-summer-day...thing.'

Topshop's Lip Bullets are fantastic; I got lots of random compliments today as I walked down Oxford Street. Somebody even thought I was wearing a MAC lipstick. Ha. They slide on so creamily and they dry so that the colour doesn't budge, even if you eat and drink.

OOTD: B/W

Top: Boohoo.com
Pants: American Apparel
Necklace: H&M
Bracelet: H&M
Earrings: Primark
Clutch: Primark
Shoes: Primark

Bonjour,

I think an OOTD has been overdue! I'm rather disappointed in the weather here; obviously the sun was shining indefinitely in Crete, and it's true to say that I'm missing the sunbathing and parading around in my bikini! However, today wasn't so bad (after a quick heavy shower.) Weeks have gone by and my wardrobe has become more and more monotone. I don't particularly like it but there's something so classy about black *drools*

ANYway, I've had so many compliments on this top, which I didn't think was anything special, but apparently so! Boohoo is certainly one of my favourite websites to use for online shopping; it's not too expensive, it has some lovely pieces and the delivery is incredibly quick.

More colour should hopefully be coming your way soon...
