Paloma Faith's "Faith in Art" Exhibition

Hi all,

On Wednesday evening I had the pleasure of attending singer Paloma Faith's "Faith in Art" exhibition, which opened with Paloma herself in attendance and free champagne and biscotti (just had to throw that in there.)

Paloma is curating this art exhibition compromising a selection of her album artwork and other iconic imagery since her debut album was released in 2009. All the images were limited edition and hideously expensive, so I decided to abstain from using my wallet that evening. They were amazing even so - all of the shots were captured by critically acclaimed photographers David Standish and Finlay Mackay.

Here are some of my own snaps...

^ I thought her outfit was absolutely lovely!

'I am thrilled to be able to exhibit these artworks. The photographers involved are all amazing and I am so proud to have worked with them. I am extremely hands-on with my visuals, and collaborate very closely with photographers to achieve the final image.
In an age where we are all downloading music, it's wonderful to be able to appreciate fully the work that goes into creating the beautiful imagery surrounding an album.'

* The exhibition runs from 28th of November to 1st of December and is open from 10am - 8pm.

OOTD: Autumn Afternoon

Shirt: Select
Coat: Zara
Jeans: Topshop
Belt: New Look
Clutch: Primark
Shoes: eBay
Earrings: H&M
Lips: Revlon Lipstain in Twilight

Bonjour,

Finally got a chance to wear something other than a tracksuit!

I've realised that I always start an OOTD blog post by acknowledging the change in the weather, a common occurrence here in the UK. Autumn has officially arrived - my favourite season! I love the golden colours of autumn, the opportunity to wear a million layers and the arrival of festive beverages at coffee shops (gingerbread latte from Costa is officially my new winter drink)

I love a shirt and high-waisted jeans combo - it's my go-to look if all else fails.

The berry lip shade is also one of my favourites for this season. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Let's hope I'm rocking it equally as gorgeously .. thoughts?

P.S: Trying to grow out my shaved hair so please don't judge! Haha

Fräulein3°8 Make-Up Palette: First Impressions

Hi guys,

Sorry for my inconsistent posting .. I honestly have so many outfit ideas but zero opportunities to wear them because I am living in various uniforms at the moment! Anyway, here's a quick review to keep you on your toes...

Fräulein3°8 is a make-up brand (German, I'm assuming) that I heard about on YouTube. I like the fact that the line was inspired by Women's Independence Day - it gives off a good vibe! Anyway, I have another eyeshadow palette of theirs and really enjoy it although the colours are glittery and not very wearable, hence why I decided to invest in another .. I mean, a girl can never have too much make-up, right?

This particular palette has 168 eyeshadow colours (if I can count correctly) and 15 colours for the face (blush, highlighter and bronzer.) It comes in adorable, tropical packaging and is very portable, so would be ideal for any aspiring make-up artist out there.

Although I haven't featured any pictures of swatches, I can assure you that the pigmentation is lush! Obviously each eyeshadow is pretty small, but they pack a lot of punch. This is just a first impressions post though, so I will have to try them out and let you guys know if they are worth purchasing. I'm thinking with a good primer they could be very nice indeed.

I got the whole set for £14.99 on eBay, which is an absolute steal, but on the Fräulein3°8 website they don't retail for very much at all on the whole. Euros are used, so keep that in mind.
