I got these make-up brushes for Christmas and have tried all of them out now, so thought it would only be fair to do a review!

I heard about Nanshy mostly through blog reviews and YouTube videos. They are obviously an up-and-coming brand because I had never heard of them until now and they definitely do a good job! This set comes with 4 face brushes, all of which can be used to apply anything from foundation to concealer. I am in love with the white handles - they look ever so classy! - and the brushes themselves are firm but still soft, and that makes application seriously amazing. I know I haven't got the best pictures but my foundation was buffed in really well, leaving no streaks or marks. They are just the right size and are dense enough to create that desired, flawless finish.

If you guys are wanting to purchase any new brushes, I strongly suggest Nanshy! I know they have some other brushes as well but what really drew me in was the fact that they are inexpensive (I know, I know, such a bargain hunter!) This set retails for about £20 / £25, which is great if you are a student on a budget (like me.) The fact that they are cruelty free and PETA approved also gives Nanshy extra brownie points.

Hi all,

Today was a surprisingly warm day, so I took advantage and literally walked out of my house like so. Ok, I did put on a coat just before leaving, but give me some credit .. I am wearing skin-coloured tights after all.

The scarf was given to me at London Fashion Week. Scarves are a favourite of mine; they can definitely transform an entire outfit. Without the scarf here, the look would be too blacked out .. and I don't like being blacked out (especially in Winter, when things are already depressing.)

Do you like the selfie I managed to get with my cat? Fun fact: he isn't actually my cat (in fact, it's a female and her name is really Dekker) but to me 'he' is Domino, and he regularly visits us, along with half the neighbourhood (I don't mean half the neighbourhood visits us, the cat visits half the neighbourhood.)

Good day,

Today was a day where I stepped out of the house in the morning, joyfully acknowledged the sunshine and mild temperature and then regretted it just a tad later on. The grey winter sky came back to haunt me but nevertheless, this outfit just had to be shared! (High five if you're not afraid of flashing a bit of skin during the colder months)

Monochrome is in. But, having said that, I don't think it will ever go out. I love the skirt here; it's from Marks & Spencers but I got it at a clothes swap for no less than a raffle ticket. True, I have had nun comparisons today, but I think it's lovely - the material is so good and the pleats at the front just give it that extra something. The gold chain, leather jacket, hat and Converse shoes give the whole outfit an urban edge, which I love - I think I got the balance right if I do say so myself :)

Also - the lipstick. Gah! It's beautiful. I would describe it as a rose red - a little on the dark side and completely matte. Kept my make-up quite simple today and let the lips do the talking (what a literary genius we've got here!)
